Di-Grignard reagents and metallacycles
Aliphatic ,w-dibromides can be converted to the corresponding c,w-di—Grignard reagents; for those members carrying less than four carbon atoms between the functions, special procedures are required. The synthesis, structure and applications of the di-Grignard reagents are discussed; particular emphasis is placed on the structures of the corresponding cyclic dialkylmagnesiums, and on the use of ...
متن کاملCu-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylation of phosphonates and phosphine oxides with Grignard reagents.
An efficient and highly enantioselective copper-catalyzed allylic alkylation of phosphonates and phosphine oxides with Grignard reagents and Taniaphos or phosphoramidites as chiral ligands is reported. Transformation of these products leads to a variety of new phosphorus-containing chiral intermediates.
متن کاملArsenous chloride-free synthesis of cyclic tertiary organoarsines from arylarsine oxides and di-Grignard reagents
The growing importance of triarylarsines as ligands for transition metal catalysis has sparked recent interest in new synthetic routes to tertiary arsines that avoid hazardous arsenous chloride reagents. However, safer methods for the synthesis of lesser explored arsine heterocycles, especially those containing As-C(sp3) bonds, remain lacking. We demonstrate for the first time that bench stable...
متن کاملThermal epimerization of diastereomeric Grignard reagents.
Thermal epimerization is the key to changing the endo-to-exo ratio of the diastereomeric bornyl and fenchyl Grignard reagents from 67:33 to 96:4 and from 20:80 to 80:20, respectively.
